Privacy & analytics choices

I (Dean Intonti) run intonti.org and its sub-sites as a personal project. This page explains the small amount of usage measurement I do and lets you control it. Every site works the same whatever you choose.

Your choice

Checking your current setting…

What is measured with no choice made

A page view (page path, which site referred you, your country, a broad browser/device type) and basic load-time and JavaScript-error numbers. No cookie, no ID, no local storage, no IP address kept, and it cannot be linked from one visit to the next. Known bots are counted separately.

What is measured if you choose Allow

A random ID stored in a first-party cookie (iv_id, shared across my intonti.org sub-sites, 13 months) links your visits so I can see: where you arrived from, which pages and projects you open, how you move between sites, how long a page is open and visible, your approximate city and country (from your network address, which is not stored), project launches and game interactions, interests you click, and whether you return. It is a pseudonymous browser ID, not a name; it does not identify you unless you tell me who you are in a feature that says so (none does today).

What is never collected

Passwords, form contents, keystrokes, screen recordings, precise location, fingerprints, or data from other companies. Page addresses are stored without their query strings or # parts. The RSVP/wedding site is not measured at all. No data is sold or shared; it is stored in my own Cloudflare account.

Signals and withdrawing

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, I treat it as “no” and don't ask. Choosing No thanks or Delete my data removes the cookie and deletes the records linked to it, and nothing recreates the ID afterwards. If you clear cookies yourself, the old records can no longer be linked to you and simply age out.

How long it is kept

Only I can see the data, through a password-protected dashboard.
